- Speak Egyptian-Arabic, Coptic, and Egyptian.
- Cairo is the capital.
- Out to the west of Alexandria is desert.
- Luxor is the site of an old dynastic temple.
- There is not much life out in the Sahara desert.
- The Pharaoh, because he was the God on Earth, was supposed to make the Nile river flood each year, so that it would fertilize the crops.
- The ancient name for their own country was Kemet.
- Mastaba: a stepped pyramid. It looks like a pyramid shape layer cake. They are the early pyramids.
- Sphinx is in front of the Great pyramids, maybe as a protector for the pharaoh.

- The middle kingdom has a remarkable continuity with the older period.
- The new kingdom includes Akhenaten. He introduces monotheism. He believes in the sun God, Ahtan??(I don't know how to spell it...). (Ah-tan)
- The Egyptians were polytheists.
- People thought he was crazy to be monotheistic.
- King Tutankhamen was the most famous Pharaoh, although he did not do much.
- During Tut's reign, Egypt was at war.
- The Persians eventually invade Egypt, and they conquer the dynasties.
- Persians are eventually pushed out.
- Greeks start to colonize on the edge of Egypt.
- When Alexander the great comes to Egypt, he hates Persians, and the Egyptians love him.
