Did Alexander believe that he was avenging Persian Wrongs?

I think that Alexander did truly believe that he was avenging Persian wrongs. The first thing that he did when he unexpectedly became king was to get revenge on the Persians. The Persians are the ones who killed his father, and Alexander then in turn became king. He was young and did not know what to do, so he felt that the Persians needed to be punished for their wrongs. After that, I think that he just started to feel all of the power he had. He knew that he could be very powerful and had a good army, so he decided to take over the world. He continued taking civilization after civilization, and I think he forgot about avenging Persian wrongs. He had already done that, and now he was on to bigger things.
